March 2009 MPHC Newsletter

As your reporter for 2009, I would welcome hearing from you with regard to any information that you would like to share with your fellow members of the MPHC.

May 2 nd will be here before we know it and we will begin our official 2009 show season for

MPHC. However, for some members of MPHC, the show season has already begun. I heard from Lisa Maxwell and she reported that she and Butch had just returned from the 2009 Tulsa

March Mania show. She was kind of enough to send me the following report which I would like to share with you:

The weather was good for once although the show was a little down from last year.. At least we didn't have to huddle together for warmth! Georgia and Mary Katelyn Cirese were down for a little shopping and just to see everyone. They are looking forward to our show season getting started. Mary Katelyn has a new yearling out of All Time Fancy that she will be showing in lunge line this year and is very excited about him and her first year as an Amateur. Mary Katelyn is also a past MPHC Scholarship winner and she is still studying hard at UMKC! Eileen and Olivia Mack were enjoying the weather and were having a good show. Clint Fullerton participated in the Extreme Pleasure Class for

Halter Trainers and they raised $50,000 for the Make a Wish foundation which grants wishes for terminally ill children. This donation allowed Make a Wish to fulfill 10 kids wishes! Dave Nichols, Lance and Brenda Shealy were there anxiously awaiting the arrival of a 4-legged baby at home. Other Missourians that were there, Suzetta Busby and company, Tracy Billings, Barron Knaus, Wade Spell with his entourage, John

Kayser, Renee Garrison, Butch, Lisa and Kensy Maxwell and Jackie Mead. A silent auction was held to help raise money for Terry and Debbie Dillard to replace the loss of their barn and Debbie was holding horses and helping Dewey and Tammi out over the weekend. Olin Parker was making his debut in Tulsa since going out on his own as a trainer and had a successful show. Looking forward to seeing Olin at the Missouri shows. Also our supportive venders from the Equine Shop were in Tulsa having a good show and looking forward to the MPHC to get started. They are excited about all our shows being 2 days and said they love coming to Missouri because it is just so much fun and we like having them there.

I encourage all of your to send any information that you would like to share to me at

SCridlebau@aol.com

or give me a call at 816-260-6238.
