of the cattle.”
Female show & sale continues the lively trade for the stores with beef meeting a demand around
the ring, competition strong for the young heavy cattle. The cull cows were first to the ring meeting
a steady trade especially for the young beef cows, with the trade for store cows somewhat improved
on previous weeks. Beef Heifer classes followed and once again selling well with many factory agents
around the ring. The store and weanling heifers are continuing to trade strong with a lively farmer
custom.
Cull Cows sold from €750 to €1020 for the heavy cows with the store cows selling from €200 to €800
with the Kg. Beef Heifers sold from €720 to €1070 with the Kg with the majority selling from €800 to
€950. Store heifers €450 with the Kg for the lighter planner heifers and up to €950 with the Kg for
the forward heifers. A hugh word of thanks must go the sponsors and exhibitors.
