GRAND KNIGHTS MESSAGE Hello Brothers, Well June has come and it still doesn’t feel like summer. It is hard to believe that June is here and this will be my last Grand Knight’s message for this fraternal year. The past 12 months have gone by very fast. I would like to thank everyone for their support and help this past year. It was a year filled with much to do but at the same time very rewarding. I learned a great deal more about the Knights of Columbus as wells as about myself and met many members of our council that I didn’t previously know. I believe we had a successful year, we grew by about 15 members, we earned a good sum of money to be donated to worthwhile charities in the coming year, all of this thanks to your hard work. So I want to say thank you for the opportunity to serve you as your Grand Knight this past year and would ask everyone to fully support Jeff Schmidt as he takes over the position for the 2013/2014 fraternal year, I know with much hard work, and a lot of good times together we can have another successful and fulfilling year. Vivat Jesus GK Terry Thelen INSURANCE CORNER FREE FUNERAL PLANNING GUIDE One of the greatest acts of love you give your family is peace of mind by pre-arranging your funeral. It is a subject that few like to think about, but it is one that EACH of us will have to deal. Funerals can be quite complicated and involved – and expensive! Mortuary costs will run thousands of dollars, but there are other planning considerations that can easily double those costs: cemetery plots and headstones cost of opening and closing the gravesite police escort costs associated with the funeral Mass (priest's honorarium, musicians, sacristan, etc) funeral luncheon obituary notices prayer cards, guest book, etc. Fortunately, the Knights of Columbus is in a position to help. Whether you plan to be buried or cremated we have low cost insurance policies that will help you pay for all these funeral costs for pennies on the dollar! This helps your family through the grieving process without the added stress of figuring out how to pay for your funeral. Don't put this important planning decision off! Call me today for a FREE FUNERAL PLANNING GUIDE and a quote on a low cost insurance policy to pay for your funeral.
