The NYSGRC: A Large Scale Center for PSI:Biology
The New York Structural Genomic Research Consortium (NYSGRC) is one of the four NIGMSsupported Protein Structure Initiative (PSI) high-throughput production centers. The goals of this center
are the development and establishment of platforms and technologies that support high-throughput
structure, with a particular focus on eukaryotic protein secreted proteins and multi-protein assemblies.

Atoms-to-Animals: Structural Genomics of Immunity
This is a PSI Partnership Center focusing on the secreted and cell surface molecules that control
innate and adaptive immunity. This Center will direct the efforts of the NYSGRC to target immune
regulatory proteins for high-throughput expression, purification and structure determination. Based on
these structures, this grant will support the generation of proteins and mouse models for mechanistic
dissection and therapeutic development. A major aspect of this work is the establishment of the Immune
Function Network (IFN), a national consortium on immunologists that will exploit the protein reagents
and mouse model systems.
