The King of Ruapuna series finished on March 29 – this was also the end of the King of Canterbury series. The Endurance Race held today was the final for the season at Ruapuna; the results for the day are attached. Trophies will be given out at Levels. The New Zealand Grand Prix was held in conjunction with round one of the NZSBK Championship in January – thank you to all the club riders, helpers and sponsors. We also had the opportunity to run the final round of NZSBK at Taupo – a wonderful track in a great location. Again, thank you to all who made this meeting a success. The first round of King of Levels and the start of the 2015 – 2016 King of Canterbury will be on May 16. We hope you can all support our meetings at Timaru. MOTORCYCLING NEW ZEALAND AGM The AGM is being held in Queenstown this year, 22-24 May. Dennis Charlett will be our delegate and Aaron Shral, Angela Charlett, Bill Hoogenboezem, John Hecker and Geoff Cain, our observers. If there is anything you would like discussed at the workshops, please ring one of our representatives. motorcycling canterbury po box 4184 christchurch www.motorcyclingcanterbury.org.nz WELCOME NEW MEMBERS Motorcycling Canterbury welcomes the following new members: Tom Langridge Steve Pearce Nigel Starkie Russell Butson Tim Kelly Richard Homer Alex O’Keefe Mark Shore Andrew Scrivener Al Murray FUTURE MOTORCYCLING CANTERBURY RACE DATES LEVELS King of Levels Rd 1 Saturday May 16 King of Levels Rd 2 Saturday July 11 King of Levels Rd 3 Saturday August 15 King of Levels Rd 4 Saturday September 12 There will be online entries for these meetings. Social media is not the forum to voice your concerns, and abuse via social media is not acceptable. This just brings the sport of motorcycling into disrepute. The MNZ handbook contains a rule concerning rider conduct, both on and off the track. Remember the onus is on the overtaking rider to take care and pass safely. MOTORCYCLING CANTERBURY AGM The club’s annual general meeting is to be held in the Ruapuna clubrooms, 7.30pm on Wednesday 27th May. This is your opportunity to nominate and choose those to be on the committee for the next year as well as to discuss what is important to you about the running of the club. Meet at the clubrooms 7.00pm – drinks and nibbles will be provided. WET MEETINGS Just a reminder riders need to have a working red light attached to the back of their machine in the event the meeting is declared wet. No light; no ride. You also need to have a fire extinguisher in your pit SUBSCRIPTIONS DUE Current subscriptions expire on 31 May 2015. A membership form is attached or you may complete registration online at www.mci.net.nz You must complete your club membership before you can get a new season’s race licence. Wendy Ashmore Secretary
