PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY!!
The pageant will be held on Saturday September 27, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the Chandler
Craig Auditorium at Hamilton High School. All contestants will be required to attend a mandatory
rehearsal/informational meeting on Saturday September 20, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chandler Craig
Auditorium. There will be an admission fee of $3.00 per person to attend the pageant, and each
contestant will receive two complementary tickets for the guests of their choice. Contestants must
be single and live in or attend school in Hamilton County. Titleholders from last year’s pageant are
only eligible to participate if they are moving up to another division. A contestant may enter in the
same division that they have previously won only if they have skipped a year of participation. The
age deadline is the age that the participant will be on September 1 st of this year. Both participant
and parent/guardian signatures are required on the attached agreement form. The early deadline
entry fee is $30.00, and the regular deadline entry fee is $50.00. For every additional entry in the
same household (after the first entry), the deadline fee will be $20.00 for early entry and $40.00
for regular entry. The fee can be paid by a sponsoring business or the parent/guardian. The fee
must accompany the entry form – no exceptions!!

BABY MISS ~ NEWBORN TO UNDER 18 MONTHS OF AGE
TINY MISS ~ 18 MONTHS OF AGE TO UNDER 3 YEARS OLD
SWEETHEART ~ AGES 3 & 4
LITTLE MISS ~ AGES 5 & 6
JUNIOR MISS ~ AGES 7-9
DUCHESS ~ AGES 10-12
PRINCESS ~ AGES 13-15
QUEEN ~ AGES 16-18
Each contestant will be modeling an evening gown/fancy dress on stage. Every contestant
except for Baby Miss and Tiny Miss will have a personal interview with the judges during the day of
the pageant. Furthermore, every contestant except for Baby Miss and Tiny Miss will have an onstage question during the pageant. An adult must accompany the youngest two divisions on stage
during the pageant. All divisions will be judged on modeling, appearance, interview questions (if
applicable), poise, etc. Winners of each division will receive tiaras, trophies, sashes, jewelry and
other prizes. The queen division winner will also be awarded a $500 scholarship to be awarded
upon proof of enrollment into an accredited college/trade school. Awards will also be given in each
division for Most Photogenic and Miss Congeniality. In the two youngest divisions, the judges will
select Miss Personality to be awarded instead of Miss Congeniality. We will also be awarding the
People’s Choice Award and Shiny Girl Award just like we did last year. Judges will be from outside of
Hamilton County and will not be announced until the night of the pageant.

3. PHOTO OR SNAPSHOT WITH NAME ON BACK; NO LARGER THAN 5” x 7” SIZE!!
Photos can be turned in with agreement form and fee or brought to the
rehearsal/informational meeting; no photo will be accepted after rehearsal/information
meeting – NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Entry form and fee may be turned into the Chamber of Commerce office or mailed to the
Chamber at P.O. Box 429, Hamilton, Texas 76531.

Participant Agreement
The following expectations are based on normal considerations of pageant participation. This
pageant is not “Toddlers and Tiaras.”
1. Participants MUST meet age requirements by September 1st of the participating year.
2. Participants MUST reside in or attend school in Hamilton County.
3. Participants MUST participate in planned program as coordinated by pageant director.
4. Participants MUST inform pageant director of any illness, accident or schedule conflicts that
will cause participant to miss a scheduled event/parade – NO MORE THAN 2 ABSENCES WILL
BE ALLOWED AT SCHEDULED EVENTS/PARADES FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR.
5. Participants MUST maintain standards normally appropriate with respect to dress, language,
courtesy, cleanliness, manners, sportsmanship. This includes respectful and appropriate
behavior on social network sites such as Myspace, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
6. Parents are expected to emulate good sportsmanship and be an example for their children.
ANY DEROGATORY STATEMENTS OR DISRESPECTFUL REMARKS MADE BY PARENTS/GUARDIANS
ABOUT PAGEANT, THE WINNERS, OR VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. SUCH
STATEMENTS OR REMARKS COULD RESULT IN YOUR CHILD BEING BANNED FROM
PARTICPATION IN PAGEANT. POSITIVE FEEDBACK IS ENCOURAGED.
7. Participants MUST avoid use of tobacco, alcohol or other illegal substances (unless ordered by
a physician). Participants MUST avoid roughness or other behavior that might harm chamber
furnishings and other persons/volunteers.
8. In the event of inappropriate behavior, the participant will be counseled about the misconduct
and may be banned from participating in said event. This includes scheduled events and
parades.
9. In the event of extreme misconduct, a meeting with be scheduled with the parents, and the
participant will be dismissed from the contest/event and will forfeit any title, scholarship and
prizes.
10. Young ladies accepting the title in each division MUST understand that they are representing
Hamilton County at all times and become instant role models for other young ladies in the
community. If participants marry, use illegal substances or become pregnant, they will forfeit
their title, scholarships and prizes.
11. Titleholders from last year’s pageant are eligible to enter if they are moving up into the next
division. Participants may enter in the same division that they have previously won only if they
skip a year of participation.
12. In the event that a titleholder cannot fulfill her duties for the entire year, the first runner-up
will become the titleholder and the same rules will apply.
13. Each titleholder is expected to attend and represent Hamilton County at the following
events/parades: Hamilton Dove Festival, Septemberfest in Cranfills Gap, Hamilton Christmas
Parade, St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, 4th of July Parade in Hamilton, Lampasas Spring Ho
Parade, Old Settler’s Reunion Parade in Hico and DeLeon Peach and Melon Festival Parade.
The pageant director may also name other events/parades throughout the year. Titleholders
MUST take a turn in the pulling the float to a parade – NO EXCEPTIONS!!
