9. 12 required Merit Badges
a. 4 must be prior to date became Star
b. 7 must be prior to date became Life
10. 9 additional Merit Badges
a. 2 must be prior to date became Star
b. 4 must be prior to date became Life
11. Must serve 6 months in an acceptable leadership position or
combination of positions following date became Life (Assistant Patrol
Leader is not an acceptable leadership position)
12. Scoutmaster Conference date
13. Application signed and dated by Scoutmaster
14. Application signed and dated by Committee Chairman
15. Application signed and dated by applicant
16. “Life Purpose” Statement including description of honors and
leadership in other organizations
17. Eagle Project Notebook
18. Reference letter from parents
19. Religious reference letter indicating observation of religious beliefs
20. Education reference letter
21. 2 general reference letters
22. Employer reference letter if applicable
