Mosa Trio
The Mosa Trio was founded in 2010 by violinist Alexandra Van Beveren, cellist
Paul Stavridis and pianist Bram de Vree. The piano trio has given many recitals
in the Netherlands and abroad.
In August 2015 the trio won the second prize and honorary prize for the best
performance of the obligatory piece of the International Orlando Competition in
Kerkrade, the Netherlands.
In December 2014 the trio won the Belgian chamber music competition
‘Supernova’ and was named ‘the Future Sound of Classical Music’.
In March 2013 the trio was awarded the third prize in the final round of the
Concours International de Musique de Chambre d’Illzach. They were also
awarded the audience award and the young jury award during the 18th edition
of this prestigious international competition in France.
In 2012 the trio won both the jury and audience award of the Storioni Ensemble
Competition in Den Bosch, the Netherlands. It won for its marvellous technical
playing and the good choice of repertoire. The chairman of the jury Ruud van
Eeten stated the trio sounded “very promising”. “They’ve only been together for
a short time, but impress already with their solid playing.” In the same year the
trio won the third prize at the Chamber Music Festival Hoorn, the Netherlands.
A concert of the Mosa Trio from the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam was
broadcast live on the Dutch national ‘Radio 4’. In addition to many concerts in
the south of the Netherlands, the trio also performs in famous concert halls
elsewhere in the Netherlands and Belgium, including De Toonzaal, Den Bosch
and Muziekgebouw, Eindhoven.
The name of the Mosa Trio is derived from Mosa Trajectum, the Latin name of
the city of Maastricht. The trio was coached at the Conservatory of Maastricht by
Tonie Ehlen and Henk Guittart. It took part in several masterclasses and lessons
from musicians including Menaham Pressler (Beaux Arts Trio), Susan Tomes
(Florestan Trio), Marc Steinberg (Brentano Quartet), Andreas Frölich
(Mendelssohn Trio Berlin), and Marc Vossen (Storioni Trio).
Currently, the trio is studying with the Wanderer Trio at the Conservatoire à
Rayonnement Régional de Paris in the Cycle Concertiste.

Alexandra Van Beveren
Alexandra Van Beveren (1988, Genk, Belgium) started her violin studies with
Michel Pieters at the Music School of Dilsen-Stokkem in Belgium. At age 12 she
was accepted into the Young Talent Class with professor Maarten Veeze at the
Conservatory of Maastricht, the Netherlands. She graduated Bachelor in Music in
2010. In 2009, Alexandra studied at the Giusseppe Verdi Conservatorio in Milan
with Prof. Giovanna Polacco.
In 2012 Alexandra graduated ‘Master in Performance’ with professor Simon
Fischer at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London ‘with Distinction’.
She attended masterclasses with Yaïr Kless, Robert Szreder, Liviu Prunaru, David
Takeno, pianist Ralph van Raat and cellists Mirel Iancovici and Marc Vossen.
Alexandra was a finalist twice in the competition ‘Young Tenuto’ and at the
Princess Christina Concours she won 3rd and 2nd prize in 2005 and 2006.
Alexandra was also a prize winner at Dexia Classics and at the Forte competition
in Belgium. As a member of the Déli Flute Quartet, she won the 1st prize at the
Concorso Internazionale di Musica da Camera in Milan, Italy.
Alexandra is an extra in the National Orchestra of Belgium, the Royal Flemish
Philharmonic, the Flemish Opera, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
and the Philharmonia Orchestra in London
During her studies, Alexandra was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of
the Netherlands and from 2005 until 2010, Alexandra was the leader of the
Youth Orchestra of Limburg (Belgium). Alexandra co-led the Guildhall Symphony
Orchestra playing under Sir Colin Davis, Adrian Leaper, James Gaffigan and
Stephen Barlow.

Paul Stavridis
Paul Stavridis (1990, Genk, Belgium) started studying cello at the music school of
Genk with Anthony Gröger (cellist Kryptos Quartet) at the age of 9. Since 2004 he
had been part of the Young Talent Class in this school. In 2006 Paul started his
study at the Conservatory of Maastricht with professor Mirel Iancovici. In 2014
he completed his Masters ‘cum laude’ with professor Mirel Iancovici and
professor Marc Vossen in Maastricht.
At an early age Paul partcipated in the well-known chamber music festival of
Kuhmo, Finland. He also attended many international masterclasses with a.o. Uzi
Wiesel, Xenia Jankovic, Leonid Gorokhov and Wolfgang Boettcher.
In 2008 Paul performed with the Youth Orchestra of Limburg (Belgium) and in
that same year he became a prize winner of Dexia Classics. In 2010 he won the
Gold Medal with honours of the jury at the 27th Concours Luxembourgeois et
Européen pour Jeunes Solistes. In May 2014, Paul performed the Rococo
Variations by Tchaikovsky together with the Arka Symphony Orchestra. In
February 2015, Paul won the audience award at the Forte Competition
(Belgium).
Paul is on trial with Opera North in Leeds for the position of Principal Cello.
Furthermore he is an extra in the Royal Flemish Philharmonic, Brussels
Philharmonic and the South Netherlands .
Bram de Vree
Pianist Bram de Vree (1989, Valkenswaard, the Netherlands) made his debut at
age 13 performing a Haydn piano concerto. He performed with various
international orchestras since. Highlights of concerts as a soloist include
Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with violinist Anna Pozdiejewa, cellist Lisa
Gaponenko and the Amman Symphony Orchestra in Jordan. In 2010 he
performed Poulenc’s Concerto for 2 pianos and orchestra together with Elisabeth
Rikken and the Maastricht Conservatory Orchestra conducted by Henk Guittart.
Bram played solo recitals in many countries including the Netherlands, Belgium,
Germany, Luxembourg and Greece. He had the opportunity to play various radio
and television recordings in the Netherlands and Jordan including several live
broadcast recitals on Dutch national ‘Radio 4’. In 2010 he released his debut
album consisting of works by Beethoven and Schumann.
Bram was a student of Ineke Bosch, Joop Celis and Mieke van der Aalst. In 2013
he gained his Master’s Degree with a 10 with Honours at the Conservatory of
Maastricht. He followed his Masters with professor Tonie Ehlen in Maastricht
and professor Håkon Austbø in Oslo. Moreover he followed lessons with
harpsichordist and fortepianist Jacques Ogg.
He attended masterclasses with renowned pianists like Håkon Austbø, Valentina
Berman, Paolo Giacometti, Jelena Bazova, Joop Albracht, Ronald Brautigam,
Marja Bon, Rian de Waal, Ton Demmers, Andreas Frölich and Ralph van Raat.
Bram is a 1st prize winner of the Pianosociety Pianofestival in 2005. In 2006 he
won the 3rd prize at the ‘Stichting Jong Muziektalent Nederland’ competition. He
won the 1st prize at the ‘Prinses Christina Concours’ in 2009 and in 2010 he was
awarded both the jury and audience award of the Music Award Maastricht. In
2013 together with The Royal Harmonie Sainte Cécile from Eijsden he became
World Champion in the Concert Division of the World Music Competion in
Kerkrade (NL) with the performance of Stravinsky’s Petrushka.
