The University of Washington, UW Medicine, hereafter called "UW Medicine” or “UW” is initiating this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from Bidders to provide an integrated multi-media elearning portal for the sports community in Washington State. Currently, there is a specific need for athletic coaches to be properly trained on prevention and treatment of sports related injuries. These injuries may include concussions, neck, shoulder, elbow, hand, back, hip, knee ankle, foot etc. Washington State law will soon require all coaches to be educated on concussion and sudden cardiac arrest prevention and treatment. UW Medicine wants to provide e-learning courses to better educate coaches on sports injuries and injury prevention. This on-line coursework will include mini-timed courses broken down per category for easy access for users and will allow users the ability to complete the tasks on their own schedule. The course material will be provided by UW Medicine Sports Medicine, which includes: subject matter resources (information, subject matter experts and reference materials). In addition to empowering coaches with sports medicine knowledge that results in healthier athletes, the e-learning academy will also build advocacy and brand loyalty for the UW Medicine brand. UW Medicine Sports Medicine is interested in being uniquely positioned in the market as the “go to” place for advice and physician expertise in the sports medicine field. 1.1. SCOPE OF WORK Given the complexity of the on-line course, internal processes, and stakeholders, the Learning Management System (LMS) solution must be agile, multifaceted, creative and customizable while providing tracking and reporting needs. The required features and robust e-learning portal must include the following elements: User Experience: The ability to manage the delivery and completion tracking of eLearning modules A delivery application that accommodates gamification elements: leaderboard, badges, tracking, etc. E-learning format that is fun, engaging and interactive Assessments before and after e-learning module completions The ability for end users to print certificates of completion Ability to brand the page in compliance with UW branding and no co branding is allowed. (Contractor will not have any branding information on the page.) Demand Generation: The ability to collect, manage and track user information for follow up for marketing purposes Customer acquisition and nurturing tools: email blasts,SMS Delivery and Support: The ability to start with a pilot (including 4-5 training modules) Administrative and maintenance support with service level agreements Data migration capability of users and courses (SCORM compliant) Mobile access and delivery Provide technical support to UW Fully tested deployment Cloud-based platform Bidder shall provide training for the content providers covering but not limited to: o Administration of the site o Running reports and creating custom reports o How add, edit, change, etc content hosted on the site o Administration of day to day operation of the site Exhibit 2 Please refer to the attached “Getting Started Guide” for additional information on bidding in Ariba Getting Started Supplier Guide
