Dear Parents,
Year 5: Looking ahead to Secondary School Applications
For Year 5, secondary transfer may seem a long way off, but the popularity of our
Catholic Schools means there is ever-increasing pressure on places at primary and
secondary level. After the 5O assembly on 7th May, Mr Corish, Headteacher of
Bishop Challoner, will speak to Year 5 parents about the admissions process.
Assembly starts just after 9am.
Bishop Challoner Anniversary
Bishop Challoner are approaching the 40th Anniversary of their opening in
September, and plan to commemorate and celebrate it in a variety of ways. One of
the events will be to have a 40th reunion on the 19th September 2015, so if you have
any old photographs, programmes of events, original or early uniform items, Bishop
Challoner would be grateful if you would either donate or loan them. The school will
carefully copy all loaned photographs etc. and return them to you. Please send any
items to either Bishop Challoner or via the school office.
Lenten Mass
Please note that every Tuesday during Lent there will be Mass at 9am at St Bede’s
Church. You are welcome to attend.
