MAXPRO ® NVR Software Only Solution Product Registration and Licensing The MAXPRO NVR Software license has a 60-day activation period. During this trial period NVR allows you to add up to 32 cameras. To continue using the software beyond the first 60 days, you must register the software. On registration, the license is limited to the number of camera licenses purchased with the software. Preparing for the Product Registration Registering the software requires the following: • Host ID file from the server system. This is a unique ID generated for the computer. • Voucher ID printed on the software DVD case. • Installer and site information: Name, email, contact information. • Access to this Honeywell web site: www.honeywell.com/security/emea Generating the Host ID File 1. Launch the MAXPRO NVR software. 2. From the User menu 3. The License Management Console screen displays, showing the number of days remaining in the 60-day activation period since the software was installed. 4. Click the drum icon 5. You are prompted to select the path where you want to generate the Host ID file, and then click OK. 6. Save the file to a USB flash drive if you do not have internet access on the server. , select About from the drop-down list. to create a Host ID. MAXPRO ® NVR Software Only Solution Determining the Voucher ID The Voucher ID — located on the back of the MAXPRO NVR DVD — allows you to register one software installation on one server only. Installer and Site Information The Installer email address that you provide to Honeywell must be one to which you have access, in order to complete the registration. Honeywell sends the License Certificate to this Installer email address. Online Registration Form When you have the required information: 1. Go to www.honeywell.com/security/emea and select SUPPORT AND RESOURCES Product Registration. 2. Select MAXPRO® NVR Software Only – Licence Registration in EMEA 3. Read, and then agree to the Non-Disclosure and License Agreement. 4. On the Product Registration Form, type in all the required fields under the Installer Information and Site Information areas, then click Submit. MAXPRO ® NVR Software Only Solution Completing the Licensing Within 24 business hours of submitting the Product Registration Form, Honeywell will email a unique License Certificate to the Installer email address provided. 1. Download the License Certificate file and save it to a USB flash drive. 2. Launch MAXPRO NVR on the MAXPRO NVR Server. 3. From the User menu, click About. 4. On the MAXPRO® NVR dialogue, click License. 5. On the License Management Console dialogue, select Install License in the License drop-down list. 6. The New License Configuration Wizard launches. Click Next. 7. On the Locate Your License File dialogue, click Browse to locate your license certificate (for example, on the USB flash drive), and then click Next. 8. The License Comparison dialogue displays the details of the existing license and the newly procured license. Compare the Existing License and the Selected License columns corresponding to General Features and Devices. When you are satisfied, click Next. Note 9. Any discrepancy in the license must be reported to Honeywell Sales Support. For example, the Maximum supported cameras row under the Selected License column displays the number of cameras for which the license is purchased. If the number of cameras is less or more than the number of cameras for which the license was purchased, contact Honeywell Sales Support immediately. On the Device Configuration Changes dialogue, check that the details are accurate, and then click Next. 10. On the Confirm New License dialogue, click Finish. 11. On the New License Configuration Wizard dialogue, click Yes.
