Paul Barrett, Chief Executive Officer
Paul has over 20 years leadership experience in the IT security industry in technology, computer
product and business development. In 1984 he independently developed the world’s first high-speed
implementation of the now ubiquitous RSA crypto-system. From 1985 to 1989, Paul worked for
Computer Security Limited, where he was responsible for, amongst other achievements, the
introduction of the (now market-leading) SecurID authentication token into Europe. In 1990, he cofounded authentication token business, SmartDisk (Nasdaq: SMDK), which he managed and led to a
successful sale in 1996. In 1998 Paul joined Visage Developments Limited – developers of the
Passfaces™ system – which in 2000 he restructured and relocated to the USA as Passfaces
Corporation. Paul has a BS in Electronics from Sussex University and an MS in Computation from
Oxford University.
