Allogenic Stem Cell Transplantation, Graft versus Host Disease, Haemato - Oncolgy
Professional achievement – I was able to start successfully Allogenic Bone Marrow
Transplant program at Sir Ganga Ram hospital and Dr. B. L. Kapur Memorial Hospital,
New Delhi. I have done more then 50 Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplantation
independently, majority of patients were Thalassemia Major and of Acute Myeloid
Leukemia. At Dr. B. L. Kapur Memorial Hospital, I started largest Bone Marrow
Transplant program in North India. The program started with 4 bedded unit and within
first year, 28 successful Bone marrow Transplants were done. Centre does Allogenic,
Autologous and Cord blood transplant regularly. The BMT unit has expanded to 12
bedded dedicated HEPA filtered unit recently and will able to do more transplants
without waiting.
