Understanding your requirements… What is a GENERAL elective? Any University College course in which the necessary prerequisites have been fulfilled with the following subject code: ARAB COMM ENGL HIST MATH PHYS SPAN ART CORE ENGR HUMN MUSIC POLS SPCH BIOL CRIM ENVR ITAL PHED PSYC THEA CHEM CSCI FREN LANG PHIL SOCI Education courses may NOT be taken to fulfill general electives unless you are enrolled in the Quest program. What is a FREE elective? Any undergraduate course in which pre-requisites are met. Education courses may NOT be taken to fulfill free electives unless you are enrolled in the Quest program. If you wish to take an HRTM course to fulfill a free elective, you must meet with the HRTM advisor for pre-approval. What is a LAB Science and/or ENVIRONMENTAL Science? A lab science is any science that is recommended for non-science majors that has an integrated lab. Only certain lab science courses are considered environmental sciences (these courses are denoted with an asterisk below). Also, an environmental science can fulfill a lab science requirement on the College of Business check sheet.
