my clients include St. Joseph Community Health Services, Edison Schools and the
Walton Family Foundation.
Division Director (May 2005 – June 2006)

New Mexico Department of Labor
I managed all operations of the largest division at the Department of Labor. I was
responsible for a staff of over four hundred state employees with twenty-six field offices
throughout New Mexico and an annual budget of approximately $30 million.
City Councilor (November 2001 – December 2005)
City of Albuquerque
I served as an elected official on the City’s governing body charged with establishing
goals and objectives, enacting laws and formulating an annual budget of $1 billion.
I originated legislation, provided oversight of government operations and communicated
with the public, government representatives and the media. During my tenure on the City
Council, I served as Vice President and Chairman of the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County
Government Commission.

I managed the day-to-day operations of this small non-profit organization. I prepared
grant proposals, negotiated and monitored compliance agreements, supervised
professional and administrative staff and initiated a new fund raising campaign.

wide variety of projects crucial to the operations of the City of Albuquerque. I was

I managed all aspects of this innovative, multi-component education and job training
program. I supervised a large staff of teachers, counselors, job developers and support
staff while overseeing tremendous growth in this nationally recognized program. I also

tournament and development of new corporate partnerships.
