Cling film
Beaker
Tea towels
Wooden stirring spatulas
silicone moulds for setting soap

Method
1. Get ready with your base soap and other soap making supplies. Divide soap base into
suitable amounts for bowl. Using a microwave, start melting the base soap. Ensure
that your bowl is covered with cling film to keep the moisture intact when planning to
melt the base soap in a microwave. Make sure you check on the base once in a while
to see if the base has already melted.
2. You may add additives in your base soap such as fragrance or essential oils or color.
For example, if you like to have a particular fragrance added to your base, add it when
the base has fully melted. Continuously stir the base until fragrance has totally mixed
with your based soap and the soap does not appear cloudy anymore. You may start
with a minimum of 2 drops for every 1kg of soap base. You may add or lessen the
measurements from there depending on your scent preference – strong or mild.
3. If you want to add attractive colors to your soap base, you may do so while the base is
melting. You may start with a minimum of 2 drops for every 1kg of soap base and stir
it in the base soap and mix well slowly to avoid bubbles.
4. When done, you may now begin pouring the soap in your soap making mold.
5. Be creative and add different layers of coloured soap base but allow 5- 10 mins
between adding to avoid colours mixing. Try adding seeds to soap base or placing at
bottom of mould or between layers.
6. Just wait for a few hours and Presto! Your soap is ready for use.
7. Gently ease out of moulds and wrap in gift paper or place in gift bag.
