Competition Wardrobe &
Requirements
Beauty Competition:
Beauty Competition is modeling on stage
in formal/pageant wear.
Tiny & Little Miss contestants are
required to wear a short pageant dress.
Petite thru Miss Contestants must wear a
long pageant dress.
The Official Walk will be posted on the
website and e-mailed if requested. All
contestants will be required to do the
SAME walk.
Interview Competition:
Interviews will be held on
Saturday,September 19th. Exact times
will be posted on the website. Teen &
Miss will have 3 minute one-on-one
interviews with each Judge.
Attire for Interviews:
Teen Miss & Miss will be Suit of choice.
Portfolio Competition (Miss
Only):
Portfolio will consist of a one page bio
and a photogenic picture. Photogenic
Picture should be on one side and bio on
the opposite side in a plastic sleeve. You
can use decorative paper for the bio and
the picture.
2009 Opening Number Attire for
Teen & Miss Contestants:
Attire – TBA. Please ask if you have
any questions about the Opening Number
Attire.
Every contestant will receive a
U.S. Woodlands T-Shirt
Please include Contestant’s Size on
Application. Additional T-Shirts can
be purchased for $10.00 each.
Photogenic Competition:
An 8x10 or 5x7 Color or Black and
White Photo is needed for the Photogenic
Competition. The Photogenic
Competition is NOT optional and will be
included in the final score.

PAGEANT RULES & REQUIREMENTS

Contestants must compete in the age division according to their age on June 1, 2009. An itinerary will
be available after sign-up.
Contestants can be sponsored by friends, family, or businesses.
All contestants will receive an U.S. Woodlands t-shirt Teen & Miss will use t-shirt Saturday.
Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $10.00 each. Teen & Miss Contestants will need khaki shorts
for Saturday.
Each contestant MUST sell purchase one $100.00 ad.
Tiny, Little, Petite, Junior, Teen and Miss are open to whoever would like to compete. All queens must
agree to promote the Woodlands pageant first.
Must get permission from the Directors before promoting Woodlands for any event.
The 2009 Miss U.S. Woodlands Queen will be allowed to compete in any other pageant system during
her reign. NO CON TRACT REQUIRED!!! She must attend Mandatory Events as set by the
MUSWPA or risk losing partial or all of scholarship. Scholarship will be determined by the number of
events attended.
Miss U.S. Woodlands Queen will receive scholarship money at the end of her reign.
Contestants must have never been married or never been pregnant. Queens cannot marry or become
pregnant during their reign or she forfeits her title along with all prizes, awards, and scholarships.
A contestant agrees to abide by all the rules and regulations of the MUSWPA now in effect or
announced thereafter.
The pageant will be conducted under the rules established by MUSWPA and a contestant agrees that the
time, manner and method of judging the pageant shall be solely within the discretion of the Pageant
Association and the decision of the judges will be final.
Anyone acting in a disorderly way will be disqualified without refund. No refunds unless pageant
should be canceled.
The deadline to enter is August 25th and you MUST enclose a photo, black and white or color for the
program (program pic can be e-mailed but EVERYONE is required to turn in). Photogenic pictures
must be turned in 1 hour prior to the pageant. Miss and Teen Miss Contestants will need to turn their
photos in at their interview time.
If named queen, you must be on time for all appointments and if named queen, the queen must give a
phone number and address where she can be reached at all times by the MUSWPA. Queen's reign and
appearances shall be handled solely between the U.S. Woodlands Pageant and the Queen. No other
family members shall be involved with these activities. No queen will appear in public with her crown
and banner without prior approval from the MUSWPA.
A contestant must be of good moral character and shall not have been convicted of any crimes and shall
possess poise, personality, intelligence, and charm at all times.
Interview attire for Miss and Teen Miss Contestants will be suit of choice.
Should there be a problem of any kind during the pageant, or related events, the contestant is to go
directly to one of the directors or board members. Any unruly, unsportsmanlike, or unbecoming
conduct by a contestant or any member of her entourage, or any disregard for the rules and regulations
of this pageant could result in immediate dismissal from further competition without refund. Depending
upon the severity of the action or behavior, it could result in a permanent barrier from future competition
in the Miss U.S. Woodlands Pageant, to be decided upon by the pageant directors and the MUSWPA

Contestants agree to hold harmless the Miss U.S. Woodlands Pageant Association, the Pageant Board, the pageant directors and
facilities from damages incurred through loss, theft, or injury caused by or during her participation in the pageant or related
activities. Any and all scholarships will be paid at the end of a queen's reign, provided she has successfully completed her term,
and complied with all MUSWPA's rules and regulations. Should it be determined that a current winner is not in compliance with
the rules and regulations, her title will be forfeited, along with any and all awards and scholarships. In this case, the person in the
position directly below her will be raised up one position, and will assume those responsibilities, as well as those awards and
scholarships. The lowest position will then become open and will remain that way until the next pageant. I also understand that
my picture will be printed for publicity. I hereby acknowledge that I have read the official rules and regulations of the Miss U.S.
Woodlands Scholarship Program and that I will comply with them in every way, and that the personal data that I have submitted
is true and correct. Miss U.S. Woodlands will sign a contract the night of crowning. Please sign below.

U.S. Woodlands Princess
The person who sells the most ads for the program book will be named U.S. Woodlands Princess
2009. You must sell at least 2 full pages of ads to be eligible for the U.S. Woodlands Princess Title.
All Ads have to be turned in by Aug 25th. U.S. Woodlands Princess 2009 will receive the same
awards as Tiny – Junior Miss.
