No.) Cell Therapies Pty Ltd is a special purpose and independent company set up to manage the commercial interface to Peter Mac’s TGA licensed cell manufacturing resources. This resource was established by the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in 1999 as the Centre for Blood Cell Therapies (CBCT) which now manages three TGA manufacturing licences for cell therapy products on behalf of internal users as well as external commercial clients. CBCT also undertakes cell and tissue manipulation for clinical trials and provides expert advice to commercial clients (www.celltherapies.com.au). Cell Therapies and CBCT is now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to manage and develop the CBCT business processes as well as leading business development and process redesign within CBCT. This person will also be responsible for all the day to day operations of the CBCT and will act as the delegated production manager for internal and external clients of Cell Therapies. This role involves the oversight of all the CBCT and Cell Therapies projects with management of production personnel & other resources and their allocation across various projects to meet client and project timelines. The Business Manager will also develop and secure new markets and clients for Cell Therapies and will be the primary point of contact with clients of Cell Therapies Pty Ltd. Because the CBCT is subject to both local and international regulatory oversight, particularly by TGA, the role requires a comprehensive and detailed practical understanding of the requirements of the relevant codes of Good Manufacturing Practice as well as other TGA, FDA, EMEA and PICS requirements. We develop and produce novel therapies using regenerative medicine and immunotherapy for our patients and our clients and this role requires an understanding of clinical research, as well as a demonstrated ability to lead and foster research and education. An appropriate science degree in a relevant discipline (immunology, haematology, microbiology, pathology, biotechnology) together with an MBA, MSc, PhD or equivalent in science or science/business management is essential. We are seeking someone with demonstrated leadership and managerial skills with expertise in GMP compliant production of cell therapy and associated processes in one or more of the following: (regenerative medicine, immunotherapy, cell master banking, relevant diagnostic methods, clinical trial manufacturing, gene therapy).
