JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS @ GK CENTERS
With the infinite blessings of our beloved Master HH Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji and
divine grace of MadhuriSakhi Sametha Sri Premika Varadhan Thakurji, Gopakuteeram classes are
successfully running across various parts of Chennai and many other cities in Tamil Nadu.
The Gopa Kuteeram classes constantly connects our children with our heritage by presenting to them
the concept of prayers and pooja, the purpose of kolam , thoranam, harathi , the importance of offering
to the Lord, showing gratitude and celebrating the Lord for all His blessings.
These learning found its expression this year, in view of Krishna Jayanthi celebrations, when GK centers
took on a festive look with all the children enthusiastically participating to celebrate the birth of our
beloved Krishna. It was a great treat to see all the children dressed up as Krishna, gopas and gopis,
singing kirtans to please Krishna, joyfully dancing with Kollattam and listening to the nectarine lilas of
Krishna. Many children joined in to decorate the place for Krishna’s arrival. Parents too had great fun in
listening to Krishna Katha, singing bhajans and dancing with Kollattam. Sweets, flowers, butter and
many items were offered to Lord Sri Krishna and the prasadam was distributed to all.It was an exciting
and memorable experience for all the children, parents and team leads!
