GOLD ORNAMENTS CHEATED FROM KAROL BAGH WORTH RUPEES 50 LACS RECOVERED. CAR NO. RJ-14-CF-7781 USED DURING IN THE CRIME ALSO RECOVERED. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested one notorious cheat. Gold ornaments cheated in a case of PS Karol Bagh worth Rs. 50 Lacs have been recovered. Ct Ashok No 231/Crime of Anti-Robbery Cell, Crime Branch had received secret information that one Akshay Sharma @ Rajesh who is involved in cheating of gold ornaments along with his associates Sandesh Verma & Lalit Kishore Jindal from the area of Karol Bagh, Delhi would be coming to Kashmere Gate ISBT. A team led by Insp. Richhpal Singh consisting of SI Sanjay Neolia, HC Ajit No 500/Crime, HC Bajrang No 292/Crime, Ct Ashok No. 231/Crime, Ct Ram avatar No 336/DRP & Ct Nihal 466/DRP was constituted under the supervision of ACP Sh. Rajender Singh to develop the information. On 08.08.2010 the Crime Branch team succeeded in apprehending Akshay Sharma @ Rajesh. On checking of the car mentioned above, one black bag containing golded colour ornaments of weight about 2035 Grams was found on the passenger seat. Akshay Sharma @ Rajesh could not give any plausible reason regarding the ownership and possession of the articles. On interrogation Akshay Sharma @ Rajesh disclosed about the cheating of the gold alongwith his associates Sandesh Verma and Lalit Kishore Jindall from jewelers in the Karol Bagh area. Enquiry from PS Karol Bagh was made & a case vide FIR No 90/10, dated 1/8/10, U/s 406 IPC, PS Karol Bagh, Delhi was found registered. Accused Akshay Sharma @ Rajesh was arrested vide DD No 8, dated 08/08/10, U/s 41.1(D) Cr.P.C, PS Crime Branch, Nehru Place, Delhi. Recovered gold ornaments and the car seized. Details of interrogation:- Accused Akshay and his associate Lalit hail from Jaipur, Rajasthan whereas Sandesh Verma hails from Muzaffar Nagar, U.P. Lalit & Akshay were known to each other for the past 5/6 years. About three months back, Lalit introduced Sandesh to Akshay in Jaipur. They hatched a plan to open a Jewellery shop in Karol Bagh, Delhi. They planned to borrow gold ornaments from the Jewelers operating in Karol Bagh (a practice commonly followed in Karol Bagh between Jewellers) for showing the jewellery to their customers and pay for it in gold in solid (biscuit) form on the same day. For this scheme they planned to borrow money on interest. When they had gained the confidence of the local jewelers and money lenders, they planned to abscond with a large amount of gold and money. As per their plan, they opened a shop at 3322, 1st floor, Bank Street, Karol Bagh, Delhi. Initially they borrowed gold from jewelers of Karol bagh on approval and returned it on the same day. Likewise they also paid interest on time on the money borrowed by them. When they had gained the confidence of the market, they started taking large amounts of gold ornaments and money on interest. On 16/7/10, when they were in possession of substantial amount of gold and money of Jewelers and& money lenders with them, they vacated the shop and went into hiding since then. NANGLOI PROPERTY RECOVERED 6 Cars (2 Honda City, 1 I-10, 1 Maruti Esteem, 1 Santro, 1 Alto) 5 Motorcycles (2 Hero Honda, 1 Honda, 1 Freedom LML, 1 Star City) TEAM AND INCIDENT Due to incidents of motor vehicle thefts in the recent past in West District, team of AATS was asked to collect intelligence about gangs involved in autolifting. On this team of AATS, West District deployed their sources and it has come to notice that a gang of Anas @ Rahul is indulging in motor vehicle theft in West District. A specific intelligence was ---2--received that Anas @ Rahul along with his associates will be coming to Paschim Vihar area on a stolen motorcycle. On this information, team comprising of Inspector Maninder Singh, SI Naveen Kumar, HC Rishi, HC Naresh, HC Dilbhag, HC Rajeev, Const. Sandeep, Const. Ranbir, Const. Raj Kumar was constituted. Team has started checking by placing barricade infront of Divine Happy Public School, Near District Park, Paschim Vihar on 11-08-2010. During checking three persons on a Motorcycle were asked to stop but they did not stop and took U turn and tried to flee away from the spot. However, they were apprehended by the courageous efforts of raiding party. They were asked to produce the documents of motorcycle, but they could not produce any document pertaining to the said Honda Motorcycle. On interrogation, they disclosed that they had stolen the said motocycle from D-Block, J.J. Colony, Sector-24, Rohini, Delhi. The enquiry was made and it was found that the motorcycle was stolen from the area of PS Vijay Vihar vide FIR No. 281/2010 U/s 379 IPC. The accused person had also disclose that they had earlier involved in the cases of M.V. Theft. All the three accused persons were arrested U/S 41.1 CrPC for the purpose of recovery of other stolen vehicles. On the instance of the accused persons 6 Cars (2 Honda City, 1 I-10, 1 Maruti Esteem, 1 Santro, 1 Alto) 4 Motorcycles (2 Hero Honda, 1 Freedom LML, 1 Star City) were recovered. Some of the vehicles have been left abandoned by the accused persons and the same were found deposited in the concerned Police Station under DP Act. With the arrest of these three accused persons, 15 cases of motor vehicle theft of various police station have been worked out. DISCLOSURE AND MODUS OPERANDI During interrogation, it is revealed that the accused persons are belong to the lower classes of the society and they want to earn quick and fast money as they want to live luxurious lifestyle. In order to get fulfill their dreams, they started to get indulge in criminal activities. Accused Anas @ Rahul & accused Hira Lal were arrested in Case FIR No. 685/2008 dt. 29-01-2008 U/s 302/307/34 IPC PS Saraswati Vihar and were in Tihar Jail in year 2008. During the same span of time they meet accused Rakesh Kumar who was also in Tihar Jail in case FIR No. 1145/03 U/s 392/398/34 IPC PS Nangloi, Delhi. After released from the Jail, they constituted a gang and started stealing the vehicles. They used these vehicles to impress the girls and their local friends, later on they sold the stolen vehicles in Meerut through one of their associate namely Rajender. Commissioner of Police/Deputy Commissioner of Police, South-West Distt., Delhi do hereby make this written order prohibiting:i) the holding of any public meeting; ii) assembly of five or more persons; iii) carrying of fire-arms, banners, placards, lathis, spears, swords, sticks, brickbats etc; iv) shouting of slogans; v) making of speeches etc; vi) processions and demonstrations; and vii) picketing or dharnas in any public place within the area specified in the schedule and site plan appended to this order without a written permission. 5. This order shall come into force with effect from 14.08.2010 and shall remain in force for a period of 60 days i.e. up to 12.10.2010 (both days inclusive) unless withdrawn earlier. 6.
