MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Donation Request
Please consider a donation to the Martha Vorvick Berge Memorial Scholarship
Fund which will advance the interests, commitment, and passions that Martha
brought to the nursing profession. Martha passed away March 25, 2010. She
excelled in the cardiology and critical care areas; assumed a leadership role in
establishing the first critical care unit at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo. In addition,
she directed nursing education at the VA Medical Center and taught nursing to
students enrolled in the Tri-College Nursing Consortium (Concordia College).
The Xi Kappa Chapter-at-Large Nursing Honor Society in Fargo maintains the
fund, conducts the application process, and selects the nursing student to receive the
scholarship. Junior and senior nursing students enrolled at Concordia College,
University of Jamestown, Minnesota State University Moorhead, and North Dakota
State University are eligible to apply.
