Evidence requirements 1.1 Diseases are identified through visualisation in terms of characteristic disease symptoms. Range two diseases. Outcome 2 Isolate infectious agent. Evidence requirements 2.1 Sampling procedure is selected in accordance with the potential organism and the plant material. 2.2 Infectious agent is isolated using laboratory culturing techniques. infectious agents include – bacterial, fungal. Evidence requirements 3.1 Healthy plants are inoculated with the suspect pathogen and pathogenicity determined in accordance with laboratory procedures. 3.2 Agent is re-isolated from inoculated plants displaying original symptoms to confirm pathogenicity in accordance with laboratory procedures.
