Abstract
The study discusses the phenomena of foreign direct investments
because it is one of the most powerful and active economical
phenomena in the international economical relations represented by
the multi national companies and characterized by high and
distinguish financing , marketing , technical and advertising abilities
as well as it's ability to achieve extra characteristics through out the
coalitions and alliances between the counterparts .
These companies represents the main source for international
financing and technology transferring which encourage the developing
countries to carry out the necessary needed requirements to provide an
attractive environment for the foreign investment .
In this scope Iraqi economy after the its diversion towards the market
economy had witnesses a trend to organize the suitable investments
for the foreign capitals activities through imposing significant changes
in the laws , regulation and policies as an initial step to create as
foreign investments attraction.
From this point the study aims to give a methodological point of view
for the boundaries of the available investments opportunities in Iraqi
economic sectors through a historical outline of the improvement
stages of the foreign investments in Iraq and the world as well as the
importance and the size of flow of the direct foreign investment
besides analyzing the actual Iraqi policies and economics for multiple
stages with a focusing of the importance of investment plans and
programs , policies of local and foreign investment stating by a main
hypothesis represented by the availability of direct foreign investment
opportunities in Iraq and characterized by wide and numerous fields
which required a 'big' size of investments which in its turn imposing
on Iraq to deal with companies in spite of its probable negative
effects.
According to what had been mentioned above the study covered by
four chapters . The first dealt the theoretical and ideological of
investments while the second one specialized by investigations the
size future and limits of direct foreign investment in the developing
countries . the third chapter discussed the actual foreign investment in
certain countries and the fourth chapter included the available
opportunities of direct foreign investment in Iraq .
The study came to a number conclusions the important one is the
divergences between researchers opinions about the investment
importance in achieving economical developments for the hostess
countries because of the divergences of the effect of these investments
from one country to the another one . The second outcome of the of
the study is the availability of unlimited seductions opportunities for
investments which can be reached in agricultural, industrial,
petrochemicals and infra .
