Mindfulness and Psychotherapy: Deepening our Theory and Practice A symposium hosted by the Centre for Diversity in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Department of Adult Education and Counselling Psychology (OISE) May 1st, 2010, OISE, University of Toronto Keynote Speakers: Dr. Tony Toneatto (Senior Scientist, Clinical Research Department, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto) Dr. Ana Bodnar (Clinical Psychologist, Adjunct Faculty, OISE and Co-director of Toronto Institute For Mindfulness and Psychotherapy at TAPE) The study and practice of mindfulness are being increasingly linked to and interwoven with the field of psychotherapy. Research, theory and practice using diverse populations and varied methods continue to reflect this ever-emerging relationship. The symposium "Mindfulness and Psychotherapy: Deepening our Theory & Practice," happening on May 1st 2010, will explore our understanding of mindfulness and its relation to psychotherapy through speakers, poster and paper presentations, and practice-based workshops. We invite and welcome all those interested to attend and/or participate!
