WEDDING COOK-TREVAN AT PLYMOUTH Miss Barbara Daisy Trevan, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs S H Trevan of 19 Brancker-road, Peverell, was presented with two horseshoes after her marriage at the Roman Catholic Cathedral, Plymouth, yesterday. The Bridegroom was Mr H G H Cook, eldest son of Mr and Mrs G A Cook of Durnsford Lodge, Somerset Place, Stoke, Devonport. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Rev C I Foley, Mr F Cook, bridegroom’s brother, was best man, and ushers were Messrs R Mason and J Archer. Mr A Doyle was at the organ. Given away by her father, the bride wore ivory satin cut on princess lines with train, and embroidered veil held in place by a coronet of orange blossom, she carried Madonna lilies. Attendants were Misses A W Trevan (bride’s sister) P Haimes (bridegroom’s cousin) J Lucas (bride’s cousin) M Cook (bridegroom’s sister) M Lusmore (bride’s friend) and Master A Cook (bridegroom’s brother). GIRL PILLION RIDER HURT A 16-year-old girl pillion passenger on a motor cycle was taken to Battle Hospital, Reading, with head injuries after an accident with a car at the junction of Tilehurst Road and Cranbury Road, Reading on Monday night. She was Miss Patricia Brown of 4 Severn Way Tilehurst. The motor cycle was being driven by Mr Graham Joel (20) of 161 The Meadway, Tilehurst. The car was being driven by Mr H F Skidmore, of 324 Tilehurst Road, Reading. Mr Skidmore, a former officer in the St John Ambulance Brigade, administered first aid on the spot.
