We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Senior Analyst to join our Oncology
Healthcare team within our global company,
As a Senior Analyst, you will be an industry expert, working for a fast-growing
company that encourages an entrepreneurial and dynamic culture, alongside inhouse training and early responsibility;
The role is diverse and challenging, and will take ownership of delivering insightful research
and analysis. Therapeutic focus will be on identifying the key commercial opportunities and
challenges in the markets for oncology interventions as well as constructing sophisticated
market forecast models. This will help shape marketing strategies for our client base of 5,000
and help direct the future decisions of their company.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Deliver insightful research and analysis:
Create a high quality analysis output in the form of report modules, consultancy projects,
multiclient studies and briefs and deliver all projects to a high quality standard and within the
agreed timeframe. Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of health conditions using
proprietary and publicly available sources and identify the datasets needed and the best
information sources. Continuously seek to identify new sources of data. Contribute scientific
input on study design, analysis plans for epidemiologic modules/projects. Work with the Lead
Analyst, Oncology Team; other Oncology Team members; and members of the Healthcare
therapeutic teams on the design and execution of the syndicated portfolio for the major
therapeutic areas and master and acquire a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of
the Oncology therapeutic area. Routinely, provide consultancy support on oncology issues to
internal groups.
Market high-level industry expertise:
Use your expertise and experience to own and expand one or more areas of research. Master
and acquire a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Oncology. Maintain and
provide timely response to oncology issues and offer up to date opinions founded on broad
based experience.
Master and continue to develop communication skills:
Refine written and oral communications skills to suit business clients. Following the Pyramid
Principle hone your writing skills to be precise, well structured and efficient, minimizing the
length of research documents while maximizing the value to clients. Master presentations
skills including design, creation and delivery, through internal and external opportunities.
Co-ordination of research:
Support Oncology Team and therapeutic team members with respect to analysis plans, actual
analysis and report writing by adding scientific expertise. Contribute to devising (either
individually or together with the relevant manager) a strategy for the successful completion of
oncology reports/products. Monitor project progress and evaluate results; makes changes in
methods or design where necessary to deliver completed projects to the agreed timeframes.
Contribute to overall quality control of syndicated reports/products.
Provide effective client support:
Help to manage on-going client relationships and understand their objectives and needs.
Support our subscription clients with timely and high-value Oncology support. Provide content
and knowledge support to the sales, marketing and PR teams. If requested, participate in
client-facing meetings with sales team to add credibility to the sale.
BACKGROUND AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
 A Masters in Oncology or Biomedical sciences or a PhD in a related field, with a
concentration in Oncology and statistics.







Experience in a commercial life sciences industry and an understanding of the
commercial implications of Oncology of one therapeutic area for the pharmaceutical
industry.
Well-honed research skills and the ability to uncover unique insights; broad and well
developed analytical skills; experience taking a leadership role in sharing research and
analysis methods within a team.
Advanced PC skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with statistical
analysis software, is required.
Superior organizational skills including time management; the ability to plan and deliver
multi-staged projects, to plan and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet
deadlines.
The ability to excel in a highly collaborative research environment with tight deadlines; the
ability to apply research skills learned in one disease or therapeutic area to another.
Outstanding English language writing and speaking skills; ability to respond fully to client
inquiries and train clients in the value of products and services.
Fluency in a second language will be considered an advantage.
