It was a pleasure to step in and judge the April show for the SNCC. Entries were slightly down for the AGM show, but
there was a lovely friendly atmosphere in the show hall. Many thanks to Lesley and Wattie for taking turns to book
steward for me and also to the stewards for their help through the day. The quality of cavies were a rather mixed bag
today with 5 of the 6 BIS pigs coming from the coated section. Self’s were lacking in glamour and type and a lot of the
marked pigs needed more prep.
Adult Self: 1. Glenwhilk Cavies, PE White, good h/e/e and shoulder, well groomed, stained under, lacks glamour. 2.
W&A Brights, PE Golden, good h/e/e, nice shoulder, quite good top colour, fair under, fair prep. 3. Moira Thomson,
Black Sow, good h/e/e and shoulder, well groomed, good under colour, red and white hairs spoil.
5-8 Self: 1. Moira Thomson, PE White, BIS3, nice h/e/e, good shoulder, nice colour, well groomed, lovely expression
and width of muzzle. 2. W&A Bright, Lilac, good h/e, slightly small eye, excellent shoulder and colour. 3. Tommy
McLean, DE Golden, nice e/e, plain head, good colour top and under.
