Description – 250 words Text to be used for working up a press release Introducing RRAMP… A tall, lonesome lady-of-the-house lives with the collections and memories that she stores in her jars in the rooms of her big house. She has procured two unsuspecting members to join her band. Christine Johnston the Collector, with Lisa O’Neill, as the dancing Archivist, her much shorter PA, ever willing to be of assistance but off on her own curious bends; and Peter Nelson as the Electrocrat… behind his bank of sound technology, helping the Collector live her dream. The band members live in her big house free of board… in exchange for filing, archival assistance, basic administration, technical upgrades, music, dance, to change light bulbs and to be a listening ear as she reminisces through her collections. Exquisitely animated by Ahmarnya Price, RRAMP is an electronica dance metal rock set reflecting on unexpected and compelling stories of archives, collections, pets, childhood imaginings and human frailty. Selections collections - recollections... Sharp as ice and bittersweet. Dr. Keith Armstrong – Interdisciplinary Media Artist No one wanted the show to finish - it rolled with power from its outset - at times as sharp as ice - with riffingly macho guitar lines, stridently accentuated performance moves and acutely rendered 'now, today' look graphics… Dr. Keith Armstrong – Interdisciplinary Media Artist Production History Acknowledgements/Logos – short version For venue brochures, flyers Funding & commissioning credits that need to be on marketing material – not full list of thank yous for show program Acknowledgements/Logos – full version For program The Brisbane Powerhouse commissioned the artists in 2010 to conceive an idea for a new performance work, which culminated in the presentation of a 20min creative development showing of RRAMP as part of the 2011 World Theatre Festival.
