01 SEP : – ANTANANARIVO - ANJOZOROBE
After the breakfast, departure to Anjozorobe by car. It’s about 90 kilometres in north-east of Antananarivo.
You arrive after 3 hours ride. Anjozorobe Forest Corridor, is one of the last high plateau forests in
Madagascar. The complete forest corridor covers an area of 52,200 hectares. About ten varieties of lemurs evolve in full freedom in the reserve. You can discover a rare and endemic ground and treedwelling fauna as well as magnificent flora: Orchids, plants carnivores, ebony, tree of the traveler, the most beautiful palm trees specific to Madagascar. Arrived at Anjozorobe, Installation in lodge Mananara.
After lunch, you start walking and discovering the forest. You meet numerous endemic varieties of the
Malagasy flora and fauna such as orchids, birds, lemurs. Dinner and night in Mananara Lodge.

02 SEP : ANJOZOROBE
After the breakfast, you follow a discovery circuit specially designed for amateurs of nature through the forest lane of Anjozorobe. It is the biggest fragment of the former primary forest of the highlands; The site is also recognized for its remarkable biodiversity, according to the last inventory realized in 1999, more than 423 species of plants were counted within the forest among which 65 % are endemic. You will be plunged into the low green forest : a flora and fauna specific to this environment : species of tree ferns, palm trees. You can find numerous Bulbophyllum anjozorobeense, in flowers at that time. You will look for several sorts of orchids and with a little luck, some lemurs. Lunch picnic. You possibly end the circuit with a nightvisit in search of the bright eyes of lemurs, those of Microcebus ( the smallest), the lépilémur
Mustélin and the Avahi Laineux.
03SEP : ANJOZOROBE –ANDASIBE
After breakfast then continuation on Andasibe. The National park of Andasibe is one of the parks the most visited in Madagascar because of its closeness of the capital but also for the diverse variety of its fauna and its rare flora. The flora is characterized by a luxuriant vegetation of rain forest, and numerous varieties of tree ferns, epiphytic orchids, sacred lianas, and dwarf palm trees, hundred numbered trees which can reach a height of 30m, healing plants.
Along the way, you stopped to visit the Peyreyras prived park. Lunch. Continuation to Andasibe, installation at Vakona Forest Lodge or similar. You begin to visit the Vakona private reserve where you can discover endemic fauna and flora existing in Madagascar as fosas (endemic carnivores of
Madagascar and predators lemurs), birds of water, boas, tortoises, and also islands in the lemurs which will not hesitate to perch on your shoulders. Diner and at night at the hotel

04SEP : ANDASIBE
The National park of Andasibe is a rainy and wet forest very renowned in Madagascar for its flora. It’s rich with luxuriant vegetation: tree ferns, lichens, orchids, epiphytic, sacred lianas, rare essences, precious wood, diverse plants in the medicinal and therapeutic virtues, water and decorative plants of which endemic most. The fauna is endemic, with famous Indri Indri and their screams, species of night-and diurnal lemurs, multitude of species of birds, chameleons, frogs, reptiles and insects. Pique nique lunch.
Dinner and night at the Vakona Forest Lodge
05SEP ANDASIBE – MANAMBATO – AKAN’NY NOFY
After breakfast continuation of the visit of the reserve. Lunch at the restaurant. Then heading for
Manambato (3 hours by car). Then continuation by boat until Akan’ny Nofy (« nest of dreams »). At your arrival, transfert and installation in your hôtel, the Palmarium Hôtel. Dînner and night.
06SEP : AKA NIN’NY NOFY
Breakfast at the hotel, then visit of the Palmarium reserve. It will be a two-hours stroll in a 40 ha reserve, with a rare fauna and flora: birds, orchids, palms, ebony, carnivorous plants, and many (somewhat tamed) lemurs. You access to this beautiful reserve on an authentic bamboo footbridge. The reserve is the ideal place to watch birds, plants, orchids. After the visit, departure to Andranokoditra village by local boat. You will be able to meet and talk with the local population and discover their activity : fishing, crafts, the transformation of plants. For instance, the essential oil Niaouli.

Then visit of the Vohibola reserve (managed by NGO: l’Homme et l’Environnement : “the Man and the
Environment”): it mixes dense forest, degraded zones and humid places, lemurs and orchids expected.
Lunch at the village. After lunch, you continue to watch the plants of the forest of Vohibola. You will discover the natural resources of the forest, passing dense forest zones which shelter lemurs and orchids in a substitution vegetation showing well the distribution of the degraded zones. Orchids grow to it throughout the year. Return after the visit at the end of after noon.

07SEP : – AKANIN’NY NOFY - TAMATAVE
After breakfast , then boarding in a boat trip on the Pangalanes canal (a long waterway stretched along the
East coast, partly natural and partly artificial), heading to Tamatave, the principal port of the island. Picnic lunch. You land at the fluvial harbour , after 3 hours crossing . Transfer by car at your hotel. Diner and night at your hotel.
08 SEP : TAMATAVE- ANTANANARIVO 13H50-14H50
After breakfast, town discovery, picnic lunch. Then transfert to the airport. Flight to Antananarivo.
At your arrival, welcome, transfert and installation in your Bed and breakfast hotel. Ballad by foot and car through the city of Antananarivo with your guide to discover the diverse historic sites ( queen’s Palace, the high and the old town, the big craft markets…). Diner typically Malagasy. Night.
09SEP: ANTANANARIVO – JOHANNESBURG 06H00-08H20
Early breakfast, transfer at the airport, flight to Johannesburg.
