VeriFone Technical Support “Empty Batch” or “Invalid Batch Sequence” with FDMS Omaha (FDC) Business Owner: VeriFone Helpdesk Created on 04/22/2013 “Empty Batch” or “Invalid Batch Sequence” with FDMS Omaha (FDC) PCCHARGE Purpose To correct any merchant getting the following error “Empty Batch” or “Invalid Sequence Number” for settlement for Visa Cards on FDMS Omaha (FDC). STEPS TO RESOLVE Step 1: Close PCCharge Step 2: Rename both the FDC1.enc and FDC1.pcs files (Ex. FDC1.4222013 and FDC1.4222013a) Step 3: Change Device ID by going to setup -> Credit Card Company-> Extended and change Device ID (Ex. 1234 or 1111) Step 4: Run Live Transaction for a $0.01 in PC Charge that Captures Step 5: Attempt settlement. If does not resolve, repeat steps 1 - 5 again. If this resolves the issue, go to Step 8 Step 6: If does not resolve on 2nd pass, contact FDMS Omaha to force close the batch Step 7: If the batch is force close is done by FDMS Omaha, repeat Steps 1 – 5 and Increment the Active Batch Number by one digit. The Active Batch Number for FDMS are only 0 – 9. Change Active Batch Number by going to setup > Credit Card Company > Extended and change Active Batch Number (Ex. Current is 9, change to 0) Step 8: Close PCCharge Step 9: Rename both the FDC1.4222013 and FDC1.4222013a files back to FDC1.enc and FDC1.pcs Step 10: Attempt settlement. These steps should resolve your issue.
