Core Rotations
 All residents will complete rotations at Mercy, Dreyer, Drug Information, Community Pharmacy
(pharmacy services component), and an Internal Medicine Rotation
Elective Rotations
 All residents must complete at least two of the elective months from ambulatory care electives.
This may include APPE Elective or IPPE Elective.
o Ambulatory Care Electives: DuPage Medical Group, Advocate Health Centers-Beverly,
Advocate Health Centers-Sykes, North Chicago VA, Advocate-Southeast, Dreyer Medical
Group (2nd month)
o Non-Ambulatory Care Electives: Swedish Covenant Hospital and electives with other
MWU faculty or MWU partners
Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Elective: 1/17/11 to 2/25/11*
 RPD will work with the resident to select a site to meet their interests and meet overall program
outcomes
 Resident serves as formal co-preceptor 1 student rotation block x 6 weeks
 APPE Sites: North Chicago VA, Advocate-Southeast, AHC-Sykes, Dreyer Medical Group, DuPage
Medical Group, Mercy
Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) Elective (Winter Quarter) †
 RPD will work with the resident to select a site to meet their interests and meet overall program
outcomes
 Resident serves as primary preceptor for introductory rotation 1 day per week
 IPPE Sites: DuPage Medical Group, Advocate – Southeast, North Chicago VA, Advocate Health
Centers- Beverly.
 One resident will complete IPPE precepting at Mercy.
