Print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing). 4) Health certificate completed within the past 6 months of the date of application. 6) A letter of recommendation in English from the head of the faculty or graduate school, or someone at a higher position of the university. The letter should be addressed to the president of Kumamoto University. 7) A letter of recommendation in English from a professor or a research supervisor who can evaluate the applicant’s ability in study and research. 8) Statement of objectives describing reasons for application to the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kumamoto University, how the applicant qualifies to be a graduate student, and the applicant’s academic, research, 2) Application form for Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship. An interim report is acceptable for the applicants who have not yet graduated at the time of application. 12) A letter in English from the employer indicating knowledge and consent of this application, if the applicant is an employee. 13) An official score of Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Test of English for International Communications (TOEIC), or International English Language Testing System (IELTS), if the applicant’s native language is not English. Scores are valid only if dated within two years of the application deadline. 14) A letter from the applicant stating his/her commitment to the enrollment to Kumamoto University when selected for the scholarship. << Submitted by Prospective Supervisor>> 1) Result of interviews including comments from the interviewers and records of interview exchanges in case of Internet interviews (submitted by the prospective supervisor; see ‘Selection Procedure’).
