Tournament for TSC Champions Sponsorship Opportunities Champion Enjoy a day of great golf and good food with friends while providing hope for a cure to the children, adults and families living with tuberous sclerosis complex. Tournament for TSC Champions, benefiting the TS Alliance, offers a wonderful occasion for businesses and their employees to join together outside the workplace with co-workers, friends and clients to make a difference in their local community. Every twenty minutes a child comes into the world with TSC. It can strike any family, at any time, and for no known reason. By sponsoring the Tournament for TSC Champions, you aid in the fight against this devastating genetic disorder that causes tumor growth in vital organs throughout the body. TSC is a genetic disorder that is like having epilepsy, autism and kidney disease all rolled into one. Join the TS Alliance in its quest for cure while offering vital community-based support programs. We believe that with your help we can find a cure for this disease and make TSC history. With a cure…..how our story must end. $1000 2 Teams – Event signage – Event Program Supporter $500 1 Team – Event Program – Recognition at one of the 18 holes Friend $100 Recognition at one of the 18 holes Yes, we will have a team Golfer Information Name__________________________ Company_______________________ Address________________________ City/State/Zip___________________ Phone_________________________ Email address___________________ Player Opportunities Player 1________________________ Player 2________________________ $75 per golfer ($300 per team) Player 3________________________ Player 4________________________ Please make checks payable and send all information by July 1 to: Jim Hartge 121 Sunset Drive Beaver Falls, PA 15010 724.987.8505 landsshoup@yahoo.com Yes, we will be a sponsor Sponsorship Level [] Champion [] Supporter [] Friend continues to make a difference for those with Tuberous Sclerosis. What is Tuberous Sclerosis Complex? TSC is genetic disorder that causes tumors to form in various organs, primarily the brain, eyes, heart, skin, kidneys, liver and lungs. People with TSC often develop epilepsy, autism and learning and behavioral problems. In fact, TSC is the leading known genetic cause of epilepsy and autism. TSC affects some people severely, while others are so mildly affected that it often goes undiagnosed. At least two children born each day will have TSC (approximately 1 out of 6,000 live births). TSC knows no racial cultural or economic barriers. There is no cure. What is the TS Alliance? The Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance (TS Alliance) is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and is the only national voluntary health organization dedicated to finding a cure for TSC and improving the lives of those affected through research, support and education. The TS Alliance of Western Pennsylvania is a volunteer branch of the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance that provides support to TSC individuals and families in their community, increases awareness of TSC and raises critical funds to help find a cure. To learn more go to www.tsalliance.org Our story In 2008, Jim Hartge made plans to have “friends” get together for a golf outing with proceeds going to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. Over the years, he has had help from dedicated friends; many thanks to those of you who have spent countless hours at “golf meetings” to help plan this wonderful event. We couldn’t do it without you. And here are four heroes and why we continue to strive for a cure. Western PA TS Alliance Golf Outing Bradley Lewis Brad attends Seneca Valley Middle School. He faces daily challenges with a positive attitude. He has undergone many brain surgeries and recently celebrated his “one year seizure free” party. Alex Seman An adorable kid, Alex is now in first grade. Diagnosed at birth, he has had numerous surgeries and health problems. He is a true hero and beautiful example of God’s love. Joshua Shoup Josh is a 9th grader at Ambridge. He was not diagnosed until he was 10 years old. He faces his health challenges head-on and has made a personal goal to educate people about TSC.
