For an Introductory Course on Global Health
Organized by Chapter of Global Health 101, by Richard Skolnik
This is a list of key references for faculty and students engaged in an introductory course on
global health. It includes some classic references, as well as a large number of contemporary
references. Many of the references are articles from peer-reviewed journals. Others, however, are
books, chapters of books, or key reports. The references are organized by chapter of Global
Health 101, a textbook that is intended for a one-semester survey course in global health,
especially for undergraduate students and those, like medical students, who may studying global
health for the first time. This list will be updated quarterly.
