Career 1985 - 1990 scholarship holder and then as a contractor worker as a botanist at the assessorship of Culture of the Region of Lazio for the Plan of Survey and Cataloguing of the Cultural and Environmental Heritage of Lazio (CRD). 1990 - 2001 Curator of the Herbarium (RO) of the Department of Environmental Biology, Sapienza University of Rome. From 2001 to today, he is a Researcher at the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, Sapienza University of Rome. He also organizes exhibitions and educational courses. Author of more than 90 scientific publications. 1 Main scientific interests PLANT TAXONOMY Taxonomic and biosystematic investigations on critical taxa of Italian vascular flora (Salicornia, Sarcocornia, Arthrocnemum, Puccinellia, Agrostis, Sempervivum, Lemna, Bupleurum, Trifolium, Callitriche, Limonium). FLORA, PLANT GEOGRAPHY AND PHYTOSOCIOLOGY Vascular flora of central Italy. Floristic cartography. Surveys on flora and vegetation communities of inland and coastal waters. PLANT ECOLOGY E BIOINDICATION Investigations on macrophytic communities and bioindication of inland waters in Central Italy.
