DAMIAN “JR. GONG” MARLEY TO EMBARK ON
“WELCOME TO JAMROCK TOUR”
31-date Tour To Feature Special Performance By Stephen Marley
(NEW YORK, NY) It was announced today that Grammy Award-winning recording
artist, Damian Marley will embark on a lengthy U.S. concert tour beginning on April 15th
in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The cross-country tour, which supports Marley’s hit single
“Welcome To Jamrock,” will reach more than 30 cities in total. A list of confirmed dates
is below. Damian’s brother Stephen will make special appearances at every show.
The two brothers have been hard at work on Damian’s third studio album, bouncing back
and forth between Miami’s Lion’s Den Studio and Marley Music Studios in Kingston,
Jamaica. Stephen is handling production duties on the album, which is expected to be
released late this summer.
Damian Marley is the son of Reggae icon Bob Marley and Jamaica’s 1977 Miss World,
Cindy Breakspeare. His 2001 Halfway Tree album was acclaimed by critics and won the
Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
