Section III Hazards Identification
Emergency Overview: Clear, colorless to straw colored liquid. Mildly corrosive to the eyes, skin,
gastrointestinal tract, and respiratory system.
Potential Health Effects:
Skin:
May be mildly irritating. Extensive and prolonged exposure may be harmful.
Eyes:
May cause irritation.
Inhalation:
Mists and vapors can be mildly irritating to the throat and respiratory tract.
Ingestion:
Harmful if swallowed.
Section IV First Aid Measures
Eyes:
Immediately flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes, while holding eyelids open.
Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye.
Seek medical attention at once.
Skin or Clothing: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20
minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
Inhalation:
If symptoms are experienced, move victim to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911
or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth if possible.

Spill Cleanup:
Ventilate closed spaces before entering. Floor will be slippery. Do not touch
