ABSTRACT Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection is rarely associated with a
supramitral ring. This condition should be suspected in any infant having total anomalous
pulmonary venous connection with obstruction to the pulmonary venous return.
Preoperative echocardiography is usually successful in detecting the lesion.
