Preamble
Land at Royal Park was reserved by Order in
Council dated 20 November 1876.
Certain land at Royal Park is presently used for
netball and hockey facilities.
For the further enhancement of permanent sporting
and recreational facilities in the State, it is
proposed to carry out a major development to
establish a new State Netball and Hockey Centre
on land at Royal Park to replace the existing
netball and hockey facilities.
It is desirable to make provision to facilitate that
development.
The Parliament of Victoria therefore enacts as follows:
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to make provision in
relation to the establishment of the State Netball
and Hockey Centre at Royal Park.
2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the day that it
receives the Royal Assent.
3. Definitions
In this Act—
"Royal Park land" means the land described in
Schedule 1.

"State Netball and Hockey Centre land" means
the land shown hatched on the plan in
Schedule 2.
4. Use of State Netball and Hockey Centre land
For the removal of doubt and despite anything to
the contrary in any Act or any regulation or other
instrument made under any Act, that part of the
Royal Park land that is the State Netball and
Hockey Centre land may be used and is deemed
always to have been able to be used for—
(a) the purposes of sport, recreation,
entertainment or social activities; or
(b) purposes connected with the purposes in
paragraph (a); or
(c) the erection of buildings or structures or the
carrying out of works for those purposes.
5. No compensation payable
No compensation is payable by the Crown in
respect of anything done under or arising out of
section 4.
6. Supreme Court—limitation of jurisdiction
It is the intention of section 5 to alter or vary
section 85 of the Constitution Act 1975.

Parish of Jika Jika, County of Bourke, being
17146 hectares, less authorised excisions.
