Macromedia Freehand Swatches Use the Colour List to store, name, and apply colours used in the document. Editing a Colour List colour automatically changes the colour of objects with that colour applied. To create new colours click Options and select from : Focoltone - Process Colours are organized by whether they share a common percentage of either cyan, magenta, yellow, or black. MUNSELL- Process Colours are organized by hue, value, and chroma. PANTONE- Spot Colours are organized in chromatic order. PANTONE- Process (fourcolour and Hexa-chrome) Colours are organized in chromatic order, including process-colour simulations of the spot-colour library. Toyo -Process Colours are organized first by hue and then by saturation. Trumatch - Process Colours are specified in small CMYK increments to avoid colour gaps. Web Safe - 8-bit compatible Each of 216 colours is named after its RGB and hexadecimal values. Layers Layers divide an illustration into planes, as though the different components of the illustration were drawn on separate tracing paper overlays. Every object in an illustration resides on a layer. Only objects on visible, unlocked layers are editable. Create all layers before you draw or add individual layers as you need them. Styles Use the Styles panel to create and apply graphic or text styles. If you edit a style later, FreeHand automatically applies the changes to all objects with the style applied. Double-click any name in the Styles panel to rename a style. If you modify an object with an applied style, you override the style. A plus sign (+) in front of a style name in the Styles panel indicates an overridden style. Click the style name to reapply the original style. Mixer Use the Colour Mixer to create a new colour for use in the document based on one of four colour models. Tints The Tints panel displays options for creating tints. Choose a base colour from the Colour List or drag a colour onto either base colour well.
