Section 3: Hazards Identification
Acute Toxicological Data: LD50 for rats>2000mg/kg; acute percutaneous LD50 for
rabbits >2000mg/kg. Moderate eye irritant and not skin irritant (rabbits). May cause skin
sensitisation (guinea pig).
Potential Acute Health Effects:
Inhalation: Inhalation of dust may cause severe mucous membrane and respiratory irritation.
Eye contact: Causes irreversible eye damage.
Skin contact: Harmful if absorbed through skin. Skin contact may cause irritation and
sensitization.
Ingestion: May cause systemic poisoning with symptoms of increasing paralysis, numbness,
and weakness in the extremities and death.
Section 4: First Aid Measures
Eye Contact:
Hold eyes open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact
lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control
center or doctor for treatment advice.
Skin Contact:
Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes.
Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.
Inhalation:
Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial

Instructions: Evacuate all non-emergency personnel from area. Remain upwind. Avoid
breathing smoke. Wear selfcontained breathing apparatus and full protective gear. Cool
containers with water spray and dike area to prevent runoff.
Hazardous Combustion Products: Thermal decomposition will generate oxides of carbon,
oxides of nitrogen, and sulfur.
Unusual Fire And Explosion Hazards: High concentrations of this product suspended in air
may present an explosion hazard.
Section 6: Accidental Release Measures
Small Spill:
Use appropriate tools to put the spilled solid in a convenient waste disposal container. Finish
cleaning by spreading water on the contaminated surface and dispose of according to local and
regional authority requirements.
Large Spill:
Use a shovel to put the material into a convenient waste disposal container. Finish cleaning by
spreading water on the contaminated surface and allow to evacuate through the sanitary
system.
Section 7: Handling and Storage
Handling:
Use only with adequate ventilation and appropriate protective equipment. Wash hands before
eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet. Remove clothing immediately if
pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. Remove PPE after

thoroughly and change into clean clothing.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals. Store in a cool, dry place and avoid excess heat.
Store in original containers only. Carefully open containers. After partial use, fold and roll back
bags, clamp and close tightly. Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage and disposal.

Engineering Controls:
When handlers use closed systems, enclosed cabs, or aircraft in a manner that meets with
requirements listed in the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides, the
handler PPE requirements may be reduced or modified as specified in the WPS.
Respiratory Protection: Not normally required. If vapors or dusts exceed acceptable levels,
wear a NIOSH approved pesticide respirator.
Eye Protection: Chemical goggles or shielded safety glasses.
Skin Protection: Wear protective clothing: long-sleeved shirts and pants, shoes with socks.
Wear rubber or chemical-resistant gloves. A safety shower and eyewash facility should be
immediately available.
Personal Protective Equipment: Applicators and other handlers must wear: long sleeved
shirt and long pants, chemical-resistant gloves made of any waterproof material, such as PE or
PVC, shoes plus socks, protective eyewear, chemical resistant headgear for overhead
exposure, a properly fittested NIOSH/MSHA approved TC-21C dust/mist filtering respirator with
any N, R, P, or HE filter. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning and maintaining PPE. If
no instructions for washables, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately
from other laundry.

Waste Disposal
1). if the surplus is big quantities, and still legal to use: Check with the supplier or manufacturer
to determine if they will take it back. Or contact hazardous waste collection programs sponsored
by local solid-waste management agencies to determine if they sponsor a collection program.
2). if the surplus is small quantities: collect into a labelled container, properly. Prevent from
unauthorized touching and spilling. When the waste reach enough quantities, contact a
licensed hazardous waste contractor to dispose of it.

Container Disposal
Rinse containers before disposal. DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on site. If recycling,
replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not
recycling, break, crush, or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no
landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and
set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty
containers and product should not be burnt.
