ACADEMIC BLOCK T INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES Please fill out the attached application completely. You are responsible for stapling proof of your eligibility (a copy of your transcript – NOT a copy of your grades) to the application. Use the form which is provided with this application to order a transcript from the registrar. It does not have to be an official transcript, just a copy. The Academic Recognition Committee will only use the student’s transcripts to determine student eligibility. It is your responsibility to have the registrar correct any errors in the transcript before it is submitted. Applications must be returned to Mrs. Hutsell in room E-111 NO LATER THAN 3:20 P.M., Wednesday, March 4, 2015. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. WHO IS ELIGIBLE? A student may qualify for the Academic Block T in one of two ways. A. Straight A’s (or a Semester TGPA of 4.0 or higher) 1. Freshmen with Straight A’s in their first semester at Tracy High are eligible for the Academic Block T. 2. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors with Straight A’s (or a Semester TGPA of 4.0 or higher) in either of their two most recent semesters (fall or spring 2014) at Tracy High are eligible for the Academic Block T. In order for students to earn their Academic Block T using the Straight A’s (or a Semester TGPA of 4.0 or higher) option, they must have taken a minimum of three courses from the University of California A-G list during their Straight A’s (or a TGPA of 4.0 or higher) semester. The A-G list is available in the counseling center. B. Cumulative Academic Grade Point Average (9-12) (called ACA GPA (9-12) on transcript) 1. At the end of the first semester of the school year, sophomores with a Cumulative Academic GPA (9-12) of 3.94 or higher on their transcript, juniors with a Cumulative Academic GPA (9-12) of 3.85 or higher, and seniors with a Cumulative Academic GPA (9-12) of 3.75 or higher on their transcript are eligible for the Academic Block T. In order for students to earn their Academic Block T using the Cumulative Academic GPA (912) option, they must have taken a minimum of three courses from the University of California A-G list in each semester of high school they have completed.
