We are deeply saddened by the death of Margaret Hall, a faithful member and a
loving friend to many of us.
Her funeral will be held next Friday, 24th October.
A Service of Thanksgiving will be held in our church at 3.00pm, preceeded by
the Committal at Rawdon Crematorium at 2.20pm.
She will be greatly missed.

The Lawnswood Arms has been booked for lunch on Thursday 11 th December at 12 noon
for 12.30pm.

*Fair Trade Craft Fair – Friday 31st October from 11.00am to 7.30pm
The Fair trade craft fair will be held at St Mary’s Parish Centre. Refreshments of coffee,
tea and sandwiches will be available all day.
There will be a large selection of toys, accessories, jewellery and Christmas gifts.

You are invited to attend a day with Revd. Roger Walton as he introduces his new book
“Disciples Together” at Leeds South Oasis on 8th November 10.00am to 2.00pm, coffee
from 9.30am.
This day marks the launch of the South Leeds Oasis Community, Training and Retreat
Centre at Hunslet Methodist Church. Revd. Dr. Roger Walton is Chair of the West
Yorkshire Methodist District. Further details on the poster on the notice board in the

Please remember in your prayers those who grieve over the loss of a loved one.
Please pray for peace in all the places in the world where there is war and strife.
Pray for the countries where the people go hungry and for the aid agencies who are
working to alleviate their need.
Please remember in your prayers all those you know who are in special need at the
moment.
Please pray for all members of the church family who are sick at home or in hospital.
Pray for those in residential homes; the housebound and the lonely.
Please tell one of the stewards if you know of anyone who should be included in the
prayers of intercession, or who should be visited, or add their name to the Intercessions
Book in the vestibule.
