TERMS OF REFERENCE
Internship: CRM project
1. Background and context
To improve and optimize the engagement with corporate, the Private Fundraising and
Partnerships Division (PFP) at UNICEF has started to implement a Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) system. This tool aims to provide an integrated global database for corporate
engagement that will provide benefits throughout the lifecycle of partnership development and
maintenance.
2. Purpose and objective of the assignment
Under the overall guidance of the CRM Project Manager, the Intern will work as a member of the
CRM Project and support the Project Manager in the development of the CRM system through
the creation of effective user guidelines and training materials, and support to the training and
demonstrations.
Specific objectives of the assignment will include:
1. Support the training and demonstration of the CRM tool via face to face presentations or
remote sessions via Skype/Lync.
2. Support with creation of training materials and tools users’ guidelines.
3. Assist with graphs and presentations destined to information sharing between internal and
external stakeholders.
4. Contribute to reports on qualitative and quantitative data by looking up information within
corporate networks and datasets available.
5. Undertake other related tasks and duties when requested
6. Support the team in maintaining data and data entry into the CRM tools (mainly
Salesforce.com)
7. Data loads into the CRM tools, either via manual data entry or by preparing data for load via
Excel. Knowledge of advanced formulas and V-Lookups is a requirement.
The assignment will be based at UNICEF headquarters in Geneva for an expected duration of 6 to
9 months. It is anticipated that this internship will start in April 2014. No travel is anticipated.
3. Qualifications and Experience of Qualified Candidate
1. Only candidates enrolled in a graduate programme (Masters or Bachelor) can be considered.
Preferred areas of studies: Information Technology or business administration, finance and
accounting.
2. Experience of Salesforce.com or implementation of similar CRM system.

3. Good ability to analyze large amount of data and produce reports; work independently and
under a deadline.
4. Excellent command of Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel and proficient Power
point).
5. Display excellent communications and organizational skills. English fluent.
6. Understanding of corporate engagement dimensions with or outside of UNICEF an asset.
7. Experience with corporate due diligence and evaluation a strong asset.
