SESSIONS IN THE SNOW
Session in the Snow is a group of sober skiers and boarders who enjoy the sport and the fellowship of AA. We
come together every year to enjoy the gifts of sobriety by having a good time in the beautiful mountain
environment. You don’t have to ski or board to come on the trip. There is cross country skiing, snow shoeing,
snowmobiling, shopping, day spas, yoga, and museums close by. There are lodges to hang out in with fires to sit
by and coffee shops to go check out in Rutland, VT. So it is fun for all skill levels. Don’t have “contempt prior to
investigation”. Come and experience the good time for yourselves. Here are some details:
 Check in at the Mountain Inn is on Saturday (after 2pm) and check out is the following Friday (by 11am).
 Lift Tickets will be given to you when you check in along with a trail map; good to have.
 Dinner is on your own. We normally gather in the lobby at 6pm and head to one of the many great
restaurants at Killington. There is a restaurant at the Mountain Inn, so if you don’t want to venture out,
you can stay in. Rooms don’t have microwaves; however, one of our regulars always brings one, and
there is one at the front desk.
 Rooms have small refrigerators. Many of us bring food with them to pack lunches for the week.
 Free Deluxe Continental Breakfast starts at 7 AM each morning. Ask the front desk for location.
 Free shuttle service from the Mountain Inn to the Snowshed Lodge that runs every ½ hour, starting at
8am.
 Killington opens on Sunday at 8:30 AM and Monday to Friday at 9 AM. The last chair of the day is at
4:30pm.
 Lunch! We normally gather in the Large Hall of the Snowshed Lodge at 12 PM. Very near the climbing
wall. Some of us pack their own lunch; some of us get food at the cafeteria (good food! $$$).
 Hot tub! Rub-a-dub from 4 to 5:30 PM; ask the front desk for towels. There is also a sauna in the
basement.
 AA Meetings are at 8:30 PM in the Lounge on the 2nd Floor of the Mountain Inn. Use your room key to
enter.
 One night we will go snowmobiling from 4 PM to 7 PM; TBD by weather and availability.
Travel is on your own to Killington. Many drive up and if you need a ride let us know and circle the option
below. Many fly up with Southwest Airline (PLEASE ADD YOUR EXPERIENCE.
