Introduction To Horse Psychology
Understand how horses see the world.
Learn to communicate effectively in “horsey terms.”
HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU:


had an awful ride and wondered why?
heard how important it is to have a good foundation with a horse? Are you still wondering
what this means? What is the mysterious “good foundation”?
HAVE YOU EVER:



Ridden or owned a horse that seemed good natured and calm and then, over time, the
horse seemed to change? Did the horse seem to become gradually more reactive and
grumpy? Did the horse pin its ears more, spook more, and maybe start nipping or kicking
out?
Seen a horse in a stall turn their quarters and then stand with their head in a corner as a
human enters the stall?
Tried to teach your horse something and both of you ended up frazzled?
ON THE OTHER HAND ... … HAVE YOU EVER:


Had a great ride and wondered what was so different that day? Why was your horse so
good?
Seen someone with a horse that seemed relaxed yet alert and responsive? Did you think
that horse must be really special, or that person is really lucky?
All horses can be relaxed and responsive!
Humans can accomplish their goals with their horses in a way that both the human and the horse find
satisfying. Horses are communicating something to us all the time. And, you can learn how to
interpret what they are communicating.
Introduction To Horse Psychology is an intensive, two-day (16-hour) course that offers concepts
and tools to help people achieve success with their horses. Whether your horse is a world-class
competitor or a companion that lives in the field behind your house, this course will teach you how
horses understand the world and how we can learn to communicate effectively in “horse terms”. The
