The stud dog owners and the bitch owners agree that the bitch owners will pay the stud
dog owners a total stud fee $1000.00 Canadian dollars. This is due when there is a litter
of (4) four or more living puppies. If less than four (4) puppies are born live then the stud
fee will be reduced to a fee of $250.00 Canadian dollars per puppy up to a total of four
(4) puppies. In the case where a puppy is due back the stud dog owner will still get the
puppy but will cover the difference in value based on the number of puppies born live.
PRIOR TO BREEDING;
 The bitch owner will provide to the stud dog owner a minimum 3-generation pedigree
for the bitch.
 The bitch owner will provide to the stud dog owner a copy of all health clearances
including HIP rating, Eye CERF dated within 1 year of this breeding, and a vaginal
culture screening clear for brucellosis dated within 1 month of this breeding.

This contract must be signed before any breeding will take place.
Stud owner agrees to:
 Provide bitch owner with a complete three-generation pedigree of stud dog, as well
as copies of all health certifications.
 Have the stud dog in good physical condition and have a current brucellosis test.
 Sign litter registration and return to bitch owner, upon payment in full of the stud fee,
and when bitch owner has provided names and contact numbers for all puppy
buyers.
 Provide bitch owner a written receipt for the stud service.
 Keep the bitch properly confined while in our care to ensure no other male except the
one specified in this contract could mate with her accidentally.
 Will notify bitch owner of any vet bills that are incurred. (before hand when possible).
Bitch owner agrees to;
 Pay for any costs incurred involving this breeding including but not limited to all
veterinary costs, artificial insemination, semen collection, transportation, food, etc.
 Keep bitch in good health
 Notify stud owner no later than 70 days after mating if no pregnancy results from
mating.
 Keep bitch properly confined following the breeding to ensure no other male could
mate her accidentally before mating season is finished.
 The breeder also agrees to make known to the Stud dog owner where pups are
placed and with whom for the stud dog owner's purpose of seeing what their stud
has produced. This will include a picture of the pup at 8 weeks of age, owners
names, address, phone number, and email where possible.
 Maintain puppies in good health until eight weeks of age, or until they are placed.
This care is to include puppy shots, worming, tail docking, dew claw removal, a
CERF exam prior to eight (8) weeks of age, and any other care necessary to
maintain puppies good health
 Have all puppies puppy puzzled for quality, so they can go to the best homes
possible.
 Charge $1000.00 Canadian Dollars (or it’s equivalent in foreign funds) for each
puppy being sold. No less.
Other Conditions;
1. In the case that the stud dog owner chooses a puppy in lieu of stud fee, then stud
dog owner gets first pick puppy of her choice. Unless there are 3 or less live puppies,
then breeder gets first pick only if they are keeping a puppy themselves, and stud
dog owner gets second pick. If breeder is not keeping a puppy from the litter then
stud dog owner still gets first pick puppy.
 Stud dog owner may choose to take a puppy instead of payment as long as 3 live
puppies are produced.
 Puppy to be picked at 8 weeks old.
 If stud dog owner picks a puppy, they have the right to use their kennel name as
a prefix to the puppy’s registered name, and will use bitch owners kennel name
second or at the end of the registered name.
 Stud dog owners will have the right to name said puppy.




Should the stud dog owner choose a puppy as stud fee; they have the right to
either keep, sell, or place the puppy with a third party under a co-ownership or
sole ownership agreement.
Should they choose to sell the puppy, they shall give the breeder first option to
purchase the puppy at the original stud fee agreement of $1000.00 Canadian
dollars. __________________
If the puppy is placed with, in any way, a third party then the stud dog owner shall
inform the breeder where the puppy is placed so the breeder can keep track of
the dog.
Registration papers for the puppy are to be mailed to the stud dog owner
promptly after receiving them.
2. The bitch owner does hereby agree and make absolute promise that they will not
transfer ownership, in any way, of any puppy resulting from this breeding to any
person or organization whose intent is to resell, trade, or give away the puppy; or to
use it in any laboratory experiments. This includes, agents, and pet stores.
3. The bitch owner further agrees and does make absolute promise that they will
not knowingly sell, trade, or give away a puppy resulting from this breeding to a
known puppy mill or person whose intent is to breed and produce litters from the
dog. But the puppies resulting from this breeding shall be placed into loving family
homes who will care for the health and well-being of the puppy and have puppy
sterilized by 8 months of age.
 However if a quality breeding home is inquiring about a pup. Then stud dog
owner must interview the potential owners and agree to place a pup with this
family. A release form must be signed by both stud dog owner and bitch owner to
ensure both parties agree to sell said puppy as potential for breeding.
4. The bitch owner (being the Breeder) agrees to keep track of every puppy from this
litter and periodically check on the welfare of the dog. Stud dog owner has the right
to do the same.
5. The breeder (being the bitch owner) agrees to be responsible for the offspring of this
breeding and further agrees to take back puppies and place them if the owner/s can
no longer keep them. Bitch owner agrees, in no case, will they knowingly allow the
puppies/dogs resulting from this breeding to be placed into a shelter or pound.
 The stud dog owner agrees to help in the placement of these puppies should the
breeder not be able to do so.
 The stud dog owner further agrees to assist the breeder in the re-homing of any
offspring resulting from this breeding in the event that the owner can no longer
keep the dog; or to take responsibility for the placement of the dog should the
breeder be unable to do so.
6. Bitch owner is responsible for all testing done to the bitch prior and during breeding
to assure the proper timing of said breeding. If stud dog is able to perform naturally
and for some reason the bitch owner asks for artificial insemination or the bitch can
not be bred naturally, Bitch owner is responsible for cost of said process. If Bitch
owner is not willing to pay for progesterone testing, smears, or AI’s, this MUST be
stated ahead of time and included in the contract and initialed by both parties.
Otherwise if stud dog owner and/or their veterinarian feel any medical attention or
tests are necessary, bitch owner agrees to pay all fee’s by signing this
agreement.____________
7. The cost of transporting the bitch to and from the stud dog, is that of the bitch owner.
The Stud dog owner will happily pick up and drop off dogs, but only when they are
within a reasonable distance of 300km one way, and when it is on a weekend.
Transportation is not available during the week. The cost for transportation is $50.00
per 100km. A flat rate may instead be agreed upon and initialed by both parties at
the end of this contract.
8. Stud dog owner does not charge for boarding a bitch when she is boarding for 10
days or less. For every day after the tenth day, boarding fee’s are $15.00 a day.
9. Any expenses incurred by stud dog owner on behalf of bitch owner, such as cost of
transportation, boarding, food, veterinary expenses, etc, must be paid in full before
the bitch will be returned to her owner.__________
10. Should bitch owner fail to comply with the terms of this agreement, upon court
awarding decision of "breach of contract", they agree to pay the stud dog owner
$2000.00 (two thousand dollars) in liquidated damages for damages to the owner's
kennel name and reputation. Also for time, trouble, mental duress and damage to the
dog's reputation.
Upon signing of this agreement, I do hereby swear that I am the owner of this bitch and
have legal right to breed her. Further I certify this bitch is at least 24 months of age and
less than 8 years of age at the time of breeding.
I attend that I have the bitch’s best welfare at interest and that I am capable of caring for
the bitch and the possible litter. I am able to provide all necessities including veterinary
care, adequate feed, water and shelter for dam and pups.
Bitch owner does hereby swear that this bitch has not produced a litter of more than 2
live pups in the past 12 months. Further bitch owner attests that should a litter occur
from this mating, it will NOT result in the bitch owner having produced more than 8 litters
within a 24 month period either owner or co-owned.
