Education and Employment History
In 1978 Degree in Mathematics at the University of Trieste. Since April 1979 to March 2008 employed at INSIEL (software company previously owned by TELECOM ITALIA and previously IRI - FINSIEL Group) and (1984 – 1987)
University of Udine. Since 1991 at the University of Trieste and since April 2009 to February 2010 at the Exhibition of
Trieste.
Since 1995 member of the Board Women and Science (Italian branch of European Platform of Women Scientists) - In
2006 prize for "Fidelity to Work and for the Economic Progress" from the Trieste Chamber of Commerce - Expert of
the Italian Ministry of Productive Activities (2004 - 2008), Member of the Pilot Committee "New Technologies for non
self-sufficient elderly people" of the Province of Milan. - University of Trieste, Faculty of Engineering: 2002-2009
Deputy Director of the Master in Assistive Technology (which received the silver medal from the President of the
Italian Republic); 2001-2006 tutor for the course "Software Engineering" at the Distance Learning Degree in
Informatics Engineering; 1994-2001 regular professor with a contract in Software Engineering at the Course of
Diploma in Informatics Engineering; 1998-2001 tutor for Software Engineering at the Distance Learning Course of
Diploma in Informatics Engineering; 1991-94 regular professor with a contract in Systems for Data Processing at the

Technologies in Europe); coordinating the projects: Computer Literacy (EUROTECNET), MUSIC (Multimedia
materials for Software, Information and Communication technologies) (COMETT); COR (Interactive Multimedia
Information Service for Cardiovascular Health) (IMPACT); - since 1986 to 1994 head of the Insiel multimedia
Computer Based Education Laboratory; - 1993 honorable mention at the concourse of pedagogical telematics scenarios
(Geneve, Centre Informatique Pédagogique); in 1992 winner of the Literary and Publishing Award The Author with the
book The Colors of the Cube; in 1988 honorable mention at the GLAXO Award for scientific populars papers; in 1983
winner of a University research post in Computer Science at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Trieste and
of a scholarship (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs); - since 1982 to 1989 head of INSIEL Education and Development
Department and in 1982 winner of INFORAV and IRSE prizes for popular papers and ninth at the NATO/CNR
competition for scholarships in foreign labs; - since 1980 to 1984 researcher in software engineering methodologies for
information systems (in the ambit of DAFNETM, EUROMETHOD) and previously programmer/analyst; - Participant
to about 40 courses and 80 congresses (sometimes presenting papers or speaking at workshops).
