General objective of the project:
By promoting a people processing, which involves individual and groups and
bridges the gap between professionals and the community, the project aims
to encourage the modification of institutional practices and mobilisation of
different actors in developing anti-discriminatory measures and in increasing
the effectiveness of antidiscrimination actions and strategies on different
grounds (age, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, handicap) in and by
public administrations.
The aims of the project:
The Member States involved have a different “history” and “tradition” as
concern policies and practices to combat discrimination. The project aims to
organise and establish a transnational network able to mobilise all the
concerned actors and to produce changes in practises and attitudes through
benchmarking the situation in each partner area at the first phase of the
project and creating then, through the transnational co-operation, a
comprehensive framework for benchmarking non-discrimination strategies
and actions.
