Introduction to Addition – Grade 1
Plan
Rationale
Time: approx. 30-40 mins.
Materials:

pumpkin seeds


for placing/gluing

Procedures/Strategies:
1. Students will have the
opportunity to view the
carved pumpkin and seeds
they helped scoop out and
count (from previous day).
We will recount seeds by
5’s and 10’s.
